Limited Health Guarantee for Adirondack Bernedoodle Puppies
It is HEREBY AGREED BY BOTH PARTIES THAT THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS WILL BE MET AND
THAT NO OTHER WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS ARE OTHERWISE IMPLIED
SELLER REPRESENTATIONS
The seller will have the puppy checked by a licensed veterinarian before adoption, typically at around 7-8 weeks of age. The veterinarian will issue a health certificate stating that the puppy has been inspected and found free from visible signs of infection, contagious or communicable disease. The seller will also include a current list of all vaccinations the puppy has received to date.
The buyer will take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the puppy. If the puppy is purchased on a holiday or on the weekend, then the puppy must be taken to a licensed veterinarian at the next available appointment within one week of receiving the puppy for examination. If your regular veterinarian is not available, you are required to take the puppy to another licensed veterinarian for an exam within a week of receiving the puppy, or this guarantee will be null and void.
As of the date of this agreement, the puppy is in good health and is free of communicable diseases. Although every precaution has been taken to transfer a healthy puppy, the seller is not responsible for any illnesses that are diagnosed after the buyer’s initial veterinary health examination, which MUST occur within 72 hours of the date of sale and include a fecal examination. The seller will cover any costs associated with illnesses or health conditions uncovered during this initial veterinary examination up to the purchase price of the puppy.
Should the puppy be found in ill health, the puppy may - upon presentation of a written diagnosis from a said veterinarian and a veterinarian of the seller’s choice-be returned for a similar replacement puppy. If there is no pup available at that time, the purchase price of the pup will be transferred to a similar pup from a future litter. If the condition can be treated, it is NOT considered life threatening.
In addition, your puppy comes with a 24-month health guarantee, where the seller warranties the puppy of any congenital defects which will result or may result in a death of the puppy. If the puppy should die from a suspected congenital/genetic defect within 24 months of its birthdate, an autopsy must be performed. The seller must be provided with a written report of the dog’s health problem from the buyer’s veterinarian. The seller reserves the right to a second veterinarian opinion. The buyer assumes full responsibility for all costs and care during this time. If these conditions are not met, this guarantee is VOID.
If the puppy develops a genetic disease within the 2-year limited guarantee and is returned to the seller, all return transportation charges are the responsibility of the buyer. The buyer will however cover transportation costs for getting a replacement puppy back to the buyer.
The seller will not be responsible for problems resulting from the following: obesity, second-hand smoke, malnutrition, dehydration, starvation or lack of proper vet care including regular vaccinations.
Failure to follow medical advice and/or treatment instructions of a veterinarian or the seller will void this guarantee.
All veterinarian charges incurred by the buyer for diagnosis of genetic issues are the sole responsibility of the buyer and will under no circumstances be paid by the seller. The seller is not responsible for any veterinarian bills.
This health guarantee is good for 24 months from the puppy’s date of birth.
The seller's liability in any of these cases is limited to the purchase price of the puppy.
