We do everything we can to ensure the puppy environment is clean and healthy. Each puppy receives deworming treatment every two weeks from the day it is born, and receives basic vaccinations on schedule. We microchip our puppies as well, although we leave it to you to decide which registry to use. Our local veterinarian checks each litter thoroughly between 6 and 8 weeks of age. This health certificate along with the vaccination and deworming history comes with the puppy when it comes to its new home.
We also perform DNA testing our parent dogs to help ensure that we are not breeding a pair of dogs that will produce puppies that will be diseased. We can therefore can offer a health guarantee that assures you of your puppy's long-term well-being.
The seller's liability in any of these cases is limited to the purchase price of the puppy.
The puppy will be checked by a licensed veterinarian before adoption, typically at around 6–8 weeks of age, and issued a health certificate stating the puppy has been inspected and found free from visible signs of infection or communicable disease. A current list of all vaccinations received will be included.
The buyer must take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the puppy (or within one week if purchased on a holiday or weekend). Failure to do so voids this guarantee.
Your puppy also comes with a 24-month health guarantee covering congenital defects that result in or may result in the death of the puppy. If the puppy dies from a suspected congenital/genetic defect within 24 months of its birthdate, an autopsy must be performed and a written report provided to the seller.
If a genetic disease develops within the 2-year limited guarantee period and the puppy is returned, all return transportation charges are the buyer's responsibility. The seller will cover transportation costs for getting a replacement puppy back to the buyer.
Internal or external parasites/protozoa ( including but not limited to Giardia, Coccidia etc), hernias, undescended testicles, hooded or recessed vulva, under or overbite, entropion or ectropion, injuries, allergies, heat exhaustion, hypoglycemia, and luxating patella. Kennel cough and other communicable diseases are not covered after the initial veterinary examination. The seller is not responsible for problems resulting from obesity, second-hand smoke, malnutrition, dehydration, starvation, or lack of proper vet care.
Before you make the decision to bring a new puppy into your life, please be aware:
We do not give refunds for puppies that are returned to us for reasons of buyer's remorse, inability to provide proper care for a puppy, allergic reactions to a puppy, or other reasons not related to a genetic health issue as outlined above.
If at any time circumstances are such that the buyer cannot keep the puppy, the seller maintains right of first refusal to take possession of the puppy. Under no circumstances shall the puppy be taken to an animal shelter, humane society, animal broker, or pet store. Your pup is sold as a pet only with no breeding rights.
